Customizing a digital scrapbook shape, or element, is easier than you may think. In just a few simple steps, you can go from a having simple black (or any other color) object to having a customized object that you have created to coordinate with a page or kit you are designing.
- First, you will need a shape. You can use either a custom shape provided by photoshop, your own shape, or a scrapbook element template. You can find many shapes and such for free with a simple internet search. There are also many freebies available on this blog!
- Next, you will need to open the digital paper you wish to use.
- Copy the paper to your clipboard and return to the shape.
- Paste the copied paper. This will create a new layer, and your shape will be completely covered by the paper.
- Next, you will need to right clip on the paper layer and select, "Create Clipping Mask"
- Your paper layer will now be "clipped" onto the shape layer below.
- Right click on the shape layer and select, "Merge Visible"
- Save and enjoy your customized shape!
